Becoming a CNA does not require as much schooling as being a RN but you are going to have to meet certain qualifications and attend training classes. After completing the training classes you will then have to take the state examination to obtain your license but after you do this you will be on your way to making about $22,000 a year or more in the state of Wisconsin. · Central Wisconsin Center for the Developmentally Disabled 317 Knutson Dr, Madison 53704, ph: (608) 301-9200: This center has a one hundred and twenty one hour class available for people who qualify for their free CNA training class. However, we are currently not sure what the deal is as far as their requirements go we are unsure at the moment so you will have to contact them for more information.
· Mendota Mental Health Institute 301 Troy Dr, Madison 53704,ph: (608) 301-1000: This institute offers free CNA training classes of one hundred and twenty five hours to aspiring CNA’s who meet their qualifications. When contacting them be sure to see how to qualify for their classes as well as how often they run and whether they are available in the daytime or the nighttime.
· Waunakee Manor Health Care Center CNA Class 801 Klein Drive, Sun Prairie 53590, ph (608) 849-5016: This health care facility offers free CNA training to individuals who meet their requirements. However, after you have completed the training you may have to pay for the test to become licensed and they also may want you to work at their facility for a limited amount of time. So, to make sure that you are qualified for the class and what their stipulations and expectations are make sure that you contact them as early as possible so you can start when their next classes start.
· Clearview Long Term Care and Rehabilitation 199 Home Rd, Juneau 53039ph:(920) 386-3400: This health care facility has been known to provide a free CNA training class of one hundred and twenty hours to those that meet their qualifications and agree to work for them. However, if you do not meet their requirements the class will only cost you $50 which is probably one of the cheapest classes that you are going to find in the state of Wisconsin.
· Workforce Advantage, ph: 804-550 5150: If you are someone who has been out of work for quite some time you may want to consider going to your local Workforce Advantage for help. They usually have connections with different training courses and can get you into a program for free or in some cases they can even find you some grants that you will not have to pay back in hopes to help you achieve your dreams. They are located all over Wisconsin so it should not be to hard at all to find one that can help you out that is not so far away from your home.
