Nursing is a remarkable field to go in due to the fact that there is always going to be a demand for people in the health care industry. Many people have dreams of becoming a registered nurse however the price of schooling can be kind of high. However, many nursing homes will provide you with paid CNA training if you agree to work for their facility for and agreed amount of time while others will pay for you to get the CNA training that you need to obtain your license.

It does not matter what state you live in you can be sure that if you check around at the local nursing homes some of them are going to be offering you free CNA training in exchange for your employment. When analyzing the situation it is not a bad deal at all due to the fact both parties win. This is because you get to be paid while you learn, do not have to pay tuition and you have a guaranteed job.

When you are considering going through a nursing home to get your CNA training you will want to make sure that you choose a nursing home that you will like to work at. Also, you need to make sure nursing is your passion. When working at the nursing home it is not going to be easy by a long shot. You are going to have to deal with patients that have dementia, Alzheimer’s and some who cannot hold their bladder. Not to mention the fact that every time a patient rings their bell you will have to see what is going on with them even though many times you may know they want nothing at all. Making the decision to get into this line of work is going to require you to do a lot of physical work as well as have a lot of patience. If you are not ready to be cursed out, spit at and possibly hit then you may want to reconsider before you have a nursing home give you the CNA training only to find out the nature of this job is to intense.

If you make the decision to go ahead and pursue free CNA training classes through the nursing home be sure to be prepared to attend them full time for at least two to six weeks. Many nursing homes will require you to have perfect attendance – which is understandable since they are free- so make sure that you do not have any other obligations when you sign up. Once you have completed the classes you will then have to take the state test to obtain your license so make sure that you pay attention in class so the test will not seem hard and you pass it the first time. When you receive your license you are basically set. All you have to do after that is begin your career and make sure that you renew your license when it is time for it to be renewed.
