3. Mercy Educational Institute, 10001 Lake Forest Blvd. Suite#1104 New Orleans LA 70127, ph: (504) 244-0444 : This location offers a three month nursing assistant training course. However, if you attend your training classes here you will not be eligible for a Pell grant.
4. Louisiana Technical College, 5200 Blair St Metairie, LA 70001-5605, ph: (504) 671-6700 : This college is one of the ones that is known for their nursing assistant training course. They offer their courses online as well as on campus.

7. Elaine P Nunez Community College, 3710 Paris Road Chalmette, LA, ph: (504) 278-6200: This is one of the CNA training programs that are available to residents of New Orleans that is located within 40 miles.
8. L E Fletcher Technical Community College, 310 Saint Charles Street Houma, LA 70360, ph: (985) 857-3655 : This is another one of the colleges that offers CNA training classes to the residents of New Orleans but is located within 40 miles of New Orleans.

(225) 342-3111 : If you contact this office they may be able to help you find some CNA training programs that will be close to you as well as affordable for you to attend as well. They do not offer the classes but instead serve a purpose of being a referral service to those that they work with.

A & W Healthcare Educators, 2067 Caton Street New Orleans, LA 70122-3146, ph: (504) 282-6171 : This is one of the locations that offer training classes that are very small so the students can have a better chance of receiving individual attention if they need it. Also, when attending here it is possible that you can qualify for financial aid to help you with the cost of tuition.
